Wind turbines are assembled from a variety of components. Screws are mainly used in the assembly process. These are used to bolt together tower segments, nacelle, hubs and rotor blade.

Track bed structure

Schraubenwerk Zerbst is a leading global manufacturer of fasteners used in track bed structure. Our main product are sleeper screws for sleepers made of concrete, wood and steel, which are used in gravel tracks or in a fixed track.

We manufacture and supply screws for rail fastening systems, rail joints and switches. Our company has the delivery approvals for all European railway companies. In addition, we are involved in many demanding projects worldwide.

Crane and construction machinery

Many highly stressed fasteners are used in cranes and construction machinery. Schraubenwerk Zerbst specializes in manufacturing highly hardened and tempered bolts in strength classes 10.9 and 12.9 with special specifications. We manufacture according to the following specifications, among others:

Special fasteners

Schraubenwerk Zerbst realizes drawn screws and bolts according to customer requirements. We are well prepared to mass produce forged parts or bolts in combination with demanding product contours and special mechanical properties.

Coating systems

We are able to supply a wide range of coating systems for various applications:

  • Hot dip galvanizing ISO10684 and DIN1461 in accordance with the DSV/GAV guideline for hot dip galvanizing of screws.

  • Galvanic coatings ISO 4042

  • Zinc flake systems consisting of base and top coat with specific corrosion resistance and anti-friction additive according to ISO10683

  • Phosphating

  • Burnishing

  • Zinc-nickel coating

We manufacture hot-formed bolts from M16 to M80 as well as threaded studs and stud bolts from M24 to M80.
